Bootsy Potts is a caterpillar postman, a humble conscientious soul with a key aim in life, which is to finish his round, delivering letters and parcels to the top of the tree and back down again, regardless of the many obstacles he encounters. Known and respected by every inhabitant of the tree, he is its heart, drawing them together. He is happy with his lot, yet knows he is destined for more - he just doesn’t yet know what that may be. Conceived as a series of children's books, allusions to the beautiful butterfly he will one day become occur throughout.
